How to get 1500 gene name each for Bacteria, Protozoa, Fungi, Plants, Animals & Mammals?

Hi All,

I need a list of gene name (around 1500 genes) each for Bacteria, Protozoa, Fungi, Plants, Animals & Mammals. The genes names should not be repeated in each group.

Is there any specific database for retrieving the gene for each subgroup mentioned above. Please help me.

Hi All,

We can get it through www.ensembl.org and also various Ensembl subdivisions. and also through ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/gene/DATA/GENE_INFO/
