what is KI270330.1 or GL000008.2

Hi, I did chip-seq with Homer and I got an txt file with the peak calling. Each row begins with the chromosome number like that: 9 138149885 138150386 9/8204 1 + but some rows begin with another symbol like that: GL000008.2 116 4193 GL000008.2-13 1 + What does it mean? Thanks! Rut

chip-seq chr

Thanks! So these results important to the chip-seq or they can be deleted?

I get an error if I try to upload GLs and KIs on UCSC genome browser. If that is the issue you are also facing, try Ensembl browser or IGV. They should work.

GL000008.2 is a contig from somewhere on chromosome 4. There are a large number of these. KI270330.1 is an unplaced scaffold that is presumed to belong to the human genome.
