I have a very small datasets and can also easily work in excel. My question is there are some NaN values how should I handle thee NaN values. I dont want to exclude the complete rows with one or more NaN. Is there a simple solution like taking average of nearest value or something that sort. Is there a simple solution

I am a very small man and should easily be able to ride a dog. However, when I try, my dog complains. I do not want to have my feet touching the ground when i ride my dog. Is there a simple solution like a dog saddle or something of that sort?

I'm not trying to be a troll, it's just very very very difficult to persuade some people to try tools other than Excel, or even appreciate what it is that they are asking. What data do you have? What is in a row of your data? How small is small? Why can't you dump the NaN rows? Why do you even have NaN?! NaN stands for Not A Number - really that shouldn't be in the data at all.

It is missing data. It is Ok I am not a fan of Excel but my idea was to teach some one that you can do this in excel. Thanks. I will use some package to impute missing data.

Missing data should be NA for Not Available (or Not Applicable), which is very different from the error message NaN -- but OK, if that doesn't concern you it doesn't concern me :)

Regardless of your motivations to use Excel despite not liking it and not knowing what to do in it, there's still no way for us to help since you haven't told us what data you're talking about. What are you imputing? Gene names? Chromosomal positions? SNPs? Signal scores from read pileups? What are we talking about here?
