Hello all, I am working on 5c interaction data. With the raw data when loess smoothing fit curve was plotted I got the one characteristic peak for interactions with lesser genomic distances and then smoothens out to a flat line. I then normalized the raw data(using inter chromosomal interactions). The loess plot to this normalized data is just a flat straight line. What does a flat straight loess curve signify? Is it a good indication in this circumstance? Thank you
