ID conversion by BioMart
Hi all,
I usually use BioMart (http://plants.ensembl.org/biomart/martview/83143bdc76022c4236f4e68e5e8cbe8a) for ID conversion. Now, I'm trying to convert the TAIR ID into Ensemble gene and transcript IDs, but I'm surprised why there are not these options in the Attributes part. Could anybody please let me know what happened?

The TAIR ID is the Gene stable ID in Ensembl Plants e.g. [AT1G01030][1,] whereas NGA3 is the gene name coming from UniProtKB. Plants and other non-vertebrates don't have Ensembl IDs such as ENSGXXXXXXXXXXX. These are for vertebrates only. You can convert TAIR IDs to Gene names and vice versa in BioMart. You can also choose to select WikiGene names
