Hi!

I assemblied my reads with Trinity and then translated them using Transdecoder. Now I'm running a "blastp" to look for some sequences of certain genus. I would like to obtain my results like a fasta format that includes the sequence in question and the hit. Something like this:

>TR3|c0_g1_i1|m.1|sp|Q9ERR2|COMD5_RAT|41.82%ID_E:8e-06|RecName=COMM_domain-containing_protein_5|Rattus

Do you have any suggestions on how to do this? Thank you in advance!

1) Make a list of all the IDs you want the sequence in fasta format. For example, Q9ERR2 in your post.

2) Use Retrieve/ID mapping feature from the uniprot website.

3) Select sequences, and Download as Fasta file
