Selectively downloading sequences from miRBase
I need to download all animal miRNAs from miRBase for a work I am doing. Previous papers I read say that they selectively downloaded al plant or animal miRNAs from miRBase as per their need. However, I cant seem to find an option to do so. I can download the whole thing or individually per species. Selecting each animal species individually would take up a lot more time. Is there an easier way to do this? Please advice.
EDIT: I heard that in older versions of miRBase, this was possible? Is that for a fact?

It looks like the best approach is likely to be download the entire dataset of interest and then filter to the species of interest.
