Centos 6.3 (Final) ETE: cannot connect to X server
Hi, there
I used ETE to visualize the phylogenetic tree. The script worked at ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Desktop) but failed on remote server which ran Centos 6.3.
Here are the commands and returns:
python script
ETE: cannot connect to X server
I googled some methods and tested them
env DISPLAY=:0.0 python script
ETE: cannot connect to X server :0.0
On the official website I found the xvfb-run might be useful but....
xvfb-run python script
ETE: cannot connect to X server :99
/usr/bin/xvfb-run: line 186: kill: (23482) - No such process
xhost is my last choice
xhost +
xhost: unable to open display ""
I do not what to do next to solve my problem. Any help will be highly appreciated!
