getting raw data coming directly from the sequencer

Hi friends,

My supervisor asked me: Can you find some dataset in GEO which contains the "raw data", i.e. the data coming directly from the sequencer, related to Ribosome Profiling experiments on E. coli? Maybe that these data are not present in GEO. If not, may you search for "raw data" regarding other prokaryotes?

I went to GEO, do his mean the same RAW.tar and TAR (of WIG) in Supplementary file?

Thank you

It depends on how one defines "raw". I presume your advisor wants fastq files, in which case you can likely find some on GEO/SRA/ENA/etc. If he/she really wants the really raw data, then he/she will have to decide if this means bcl files, or images, or something else (voltage readings from the camera?). In reality, the likelihood of finding those posted anywhere is near 0.

Thanks Devon,

I sent already fastq file derived from run sra selector, but asked raw data...
