In many pathogenic bacteria has been described the presence of toxin/antitoxin system and effector/immunity genes presence as couple of genes in co-transcribed regions.

In some papers they say that the bacterial genomes was screened for the identification of such elements.

However, there is not description of the methods, but "custom Perl/Python script were used".

Has someone idea how to look for such elements in bacterial genomes?
