What'S Going Wrong With Ucsc Genome Browser ?

Hi guys

I encountered some problems viewing tracks on UCSC genome browser especially when trying to zooming in or out I have always an error on top of the page saying " Couldn't parse out new image for id: ruler(click to hide)"

What does this mean ? still waiting for them to answer me, but if anyone have an idea.

Thanks

ucsc

If it happens to anyone of you here is the solution, just click configure and disable javascript features

Cheers

can you please post a screenshot of the error.

Radhouane please consider doing as Mary suggests. Disabling Javascript is probably not a real solution since you will loose a lot of functionality as well.

They just made some changes to the interface. Any chance you can save it as a session? Or can you tell me more about the assembly and tracks you are using? Browser + platform?

I'll try to see if that's what I'm getting as well. But I haven't had any issues.

I can give it to the UCSC folks and they could look at it.

Actually I thinks it is a problem managing custom tracks, Even with session I am unable to access my data, here is the error message

Error Couldn't connect to database customTrash on hgcustom as custom. Can't connect to MySQL server on 'hgcustom' (113)

Well, thanks for the notice. I'll play with my custom tracks a bit and see. And we are doing workshops this week on the browser and if anyone runs into this we'll be aware of it.
