Map SNP to closest protein coding gene within specific flanking distance using R

Hello,

I have seen a number of previous posts on mapping SNPs to genes. I wish to map a list of SNPs to the closest protein coding gene within a specific flanking distance, e.g. 100kb. Initially, I tried with biomart to do this, but had no success. If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.
