Looking for information on MS programs in Bioinformatics/Biomedical Informatics at NYU Polytechnic, Columbia and NJIT
NYU Polytechnic, Columbia, and NJIT
I'm trying to figure out which college has the best course curriculum and internships in terms of long term employment.
As far as I can tell, NYU Polytechnic has a course curriculum that's superior to NJIT's except in one way: NJIT seems to have an option to work on X-ray images, MRIs, etc.
I can't find any information on the curriculum at Columbia University.
NYU Poly's curriculum is all online and there don't seem to be research opportunities available on campus. Does being at Poly basically "give you a better chance" of being accepted for an internship in another area?

No. No one has recently graduated from those programs.
More than 7 years late to this thread but couldn't resist the irony. I see this post was created in Apr 2014 - I graduated from NYU Poly (MS Bioinformatics) in May 2014.
OP was right BTW - there was not a lot of research opportunities on campus, but I was able to take courses and build a network at NYU Center for Genomics and Systems Biology, and that gave my career the start and the boost to get into great jobs in academia.
