Deleted:RNA integrity number (RIN) standards in insects

Hello, BIOSTARS friends;

I would like to start addressing the values of the RIN.

We know about the profiles expected for various types of organic samples, however, I have been realizing that in Rnatotal extractions from insects even that the other validations validate the extraction, the RIN values are always below the average desired (7-8).

So, did you have similar experiences?

I have often heard that the aspect is common in insect samples, because the ratio of 28S and 16S rRNA is responsible for the "unwanted" response to this type of organism
