Hello, I would like to create account in https://biostar.slack.com/, however only emails with @ebi.ac.uk domain are accepted. To get this @ebi.ac.uk email address, it is needed to contact admins, however only registered slack users can contact them. Is any moderator from biostar.slack.com here?

That is not true - all email addresses are allowed. Are you sure you're not trying to join a different group (biostars.slack is not us)
