best R package for tree(data structure) in 2020?

Hi guys,

Just a quick question, is anyone using tree in R analysis?

I need to switch my data structure from data.from to tree in order to handle taxonomy data. Any advise for a R package?

I have not used tree, specifically, but it seems to be relatively new? 'Historically', ape has been used a lot in this area, along with a couple of others. Please take a look:
