Hi all,

Is anyone aware of a good publication that reviews current methods for detecting SNPs/Indels from next gen sequencing data? I have done some searching but so far in vain. It would be great to get an overview of the various methods and their pros and cons.

If you want details of the algorithms behind a specific tools keep an eye on: https://github.com/lh3/smtl-paper. That's the incoming samtools paper.As you know, one of the most used tools for, among other things, calling snps with nextgen data.
