Hi everybody!

I am looking for a bioinformatics/computational-biology congress to share my results (genomics and transcriptomics) and to known experimented bioinformaticians, or another enthusiast students as me. The topic may be bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics and evolution, etc. etc.

I have found lots of congresses, forums, workshops, meetings etc. etc. all around the world, but, in your experience, which would be the best?

Distance or location are not a problem. My specific topic may be tropical diseases, however I am looking for a bioinformatics congress to share my tools and/or protocols developed and/or adapted mainly to evolutive genomics.

Thanks for share your experiences.

Whereabouts are you located? How far are you willing to travel? What species are you working on?

Can you be more specific? The best congresses to attend will be stratified significantly by what you’re actually interested in etc.

Have you developed a tool? Analysed some data? What kind of data was it? Are you more interested in algorithms/comp sci? I could go on...

There are a lot of non-legit conferences out there that seem to use the word congress so you should be suspicious about those right off the bat.

Meetings hosted by ISCB (International Society for Computational Biology) are probably most appropriate for things related to computational biology/bioinformatics. You can find a full list on their website.

That is exactly what I mean, thanks.

Maybe ISMB in the US or ECCB in Europe would be of interest.

Watch out for the spam emails.
