Hello Biostars!

This is more like 'ChIP-Seq protocol' question.

It has been mentioned after immunoprecipitation of the protein-DNA complex , protein–DNA cross-link is reversed and proteins are removed by digestion with proteinase K.

Can anyone tell me if during reversal of protein-DNA complex the DNA at site of cross-linking is included in further sequencing step or is washed away with the protein itself?

Please help. Basics of ChIP-Seq links will also work. Thank you :)
