The minimum sample size for ARACNE is 100 but I only have 20 samples. Can I resample each of my samples to make my overall sample size bigger? If so, what is the best way to do resampling?
That doesnt sound like a good idea.
What are species/tissue and a number of genes in the pathway? Can you tell more about these 20 samples and the experiment? What is the goal or idea of the study?
Thank you very much for replying my post. There is a computer algorithm (ARACNE) that can reconstruct gene regulatory networks from gene expression profiles. However, it requires a minimum of 100 gene expression profiles, for example, 100 microarray datasets. I only have 20 of these datasets so I guess it cannot be done with such small datasets.
? There are workarounds that realy depend on your dataset, specie, pathway you study and what for. Tell us your task and we all will think about it
