To enable researchers to analyse their next generation sequencing data themselves, Edinburgh Genomics offers a range of hands-on bioinformatics workshops.

Started in mid 2014, our training portfolio is continuously being expanded. It contains core bioinformatics workshops, like “Linux for Genomics” and “Introduction to Python for Biologists”, as well as applied genomics workshops, like “Introduction to RNA-seq Data Analysis” and “Oxford Nanopore MinION Sequencing - Data Handling, Analysis and Applications”.

Workshops are given in our in-house training suite, or in training suites on the King’s Buildings campus. Instructors include staff from Edinburgh Genomics and The University of Edinburgh, as well as external experts. Our small class sizes ensure an optimal student-instructor ratio.
